Conference of Mayors -- Stargazing on the High Line with Animal Crossing New Leaf

On Tuesday, July 30th we invite all Animal Crossing fans to the High Line (14th Street & 10th Ave, Manhattan NY) to absorb the sights and sounds of New York's youngest and most unique park from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

From 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM starting at the High Line at West 14th Street Passage, hear the story behind New York City’s park in the sky. The tour is a free hour-long walking tour led by High Line Docents, knowledgeable volunteer guides who offer you an insider’s perspective on the park’s history, design, and landscape. Space is limited. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to guarantee a spot.




Then from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM on the High Line between West 13th and West 14th Streets, gaze at the stars, planets, and Moon through the high-powered telescopes of the Amateur Astronomers Association, and chat with the experts about the sights you see!

Stay for dinner and dessert after checking out the celestial sites! On the High Line between West 15th and West 16th Streets you will find tacos, gelato, ice pops, and more seasonal treats from our food vendors, as well as Terroir at The Porch, a full-service, open-air café serving beer, wine, and small plates with sweeping views of the Hudson River.

Conference of Mayors -- Coney Island Beach Fun with Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Location: Scream Zone Sign - Boardwalk West (Boardwalk West Brooklyn, NY 11224)


Date: July 17th, Wednesday 

Time: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM



On Wednesday, July 17th we invite all Animal Crossing fans to Coney Island below the Scream Zone beach sign (Boardwalk West Brooklyn, NY 11224) on from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM we will set-up a beach lounging area south of the Scream Zone, making sand castles and enjoying the water and sun. We will also travel in groups to visit the various arcades such as the Luna Park Arcade, Eldorado and Game World. A staff member will return to the Scream Zone sign every hour to check for more people and will have the StreetPass flag to easily identify us. In case of rain, we will be in the Eldorado Bumper Cars & Arcade (1216 Surf Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11224).




Then at 7:00 PM, the Brooklyn Cyclones Baseball Team face-off with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at MCU Park (1904 Surf Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11224)! Free T-Shirts will be given out courtesy of City University of New York to the first 3,000 fans in attendance. The Cyclones will also be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Nintendo.

Tickets for the Brooklyn Cyclones game are at a super-discounted price of $10 per-person.

Conference of Mayors -- Bryant Park Movie Night Animal Crossing New Leaf Meet-Up

Location: Bryant Park Lawn Area - Six Avenue Side (42nd Street at 6th Avenue, New York, New York 10018)

On Monday, July 8th we invite all Animal Crossing fans to the Lawn Area (the lawn and surrounding gravel area) of Bryant Park at 42nd Street and 6th Avenue (enter from the 6th Avenue side of the park) from 4:00pm to 11:00pm.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf mayors will enter a world of pure imagination as they enjoy a screening of "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory" (1971, 98 minutes, Warner Bros.).  This adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic children's book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" stars Gene Wilder as the eccentric genius Willy Wonka, who leads five lucky children on a magical tour of his candy palace.  The film is regarded as a cult classic, and ensures a scrumdiddlyumptious time for viewers of all ages.  "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" is part of the HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival, an annual series of free, outdoor public film screenings that celebrates "stars under the stars"




For the protection of all Film Festival attendees, all bags, briefcases, backpacks, etc. will be inspected before entering the Lawn Area (the Lawn and surrounding gravel area).

The gravel area surrounding the Lawn opens at 4:00pm. The Lawn opens at 5:00pm.*

Entry to the Lawn Area is only permitted at the 6th Avenue side of the park (near the screen).

Wheelchair access to the Lawn Area is accessible through the ramps at the eastern end of the Lawn. (Ramps are on both the 40th and 42nd Street Allees).

All packages, bags, briefcases, backpacks, etc. will be inspected.
There are two entry points on either side of the Fountain (north and south side).

Should you leave the Lawn Area, all packages, bags, etc. will be inspected again upon re-entry.

The checkpoints are necessary to safeguard all those in attendance at the HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival.
